What is on my Mind?

Sometimes I feel like I am living on a different planet. When I was growing up in Detroit many “moons” ago, people seemed to have respect for the law – for churches, schools, teachers and the police. Nowadays, it is like total mayhem everywhere. People do what they please and disregard civil customs and traditions, and ignore consequences. Every so often I still see young people in church (even with their parents beside them) wearing spaghetti strap blouses, shirts without collars, jeans with holes big enough to put wooden stakes through, and flip flops, looking like they just got back from the beach or from a dog fight. I feel like I should say something but am afraid to “offend” them.
Our culture has become so distorted and perverted that it is OK to abort human babies but it is now a criminal offense to kill a shark! (Check internet news.) Sharks are predators, looking for prey in the oceans. When they do not catch their usual prey, they prey on humans in the water. Did God commission them to subdue the earth and multiply?
I may not necessarily agree with all the policies of our national president, but the people duly elected him and his office should be respected. Americans are always complaining about illegal aliens, but no one does anything about it. When we finally get a president who tries to do something about it, people start screaming about how cruel and inhumane he is. Other countries hate us, but why are so many of their citizens beating feet trying to get into the US, legally or otherwise?
It appalls me that some woman on television is trying to sue our president for detaining her family at the border! She does not speak English and has never been a resident of the US. Yet, she feels she has a right to be here and can even sue the leader of our country for detaining her family! In addition, when a crime is committed our lawyers twist things around to make criminals look like victims and victims look like criminals. What is wrong with this picture?
